In Good Health

Conventional or alternative medicine?

Many people are treated in hospitals where conventional western medicine is practised. But nowadays more and more people are turning to alternative medicines when the use of conventional drugs has failed. Homeopathy is one is the most popular of it. The remedies come both from plants and minerals.

In the UK homeopathy is even available on the National Health Service and it is the alternative medicine chosen by the Queen herself.

Homeopathy is based on the idea of treating like with like – a human being suffering from mercury poison, for example, will be given a micro-dose of mercury that works like vaccinations.
It helps the body to mobilise its own defences against illness. Nevertheless, this is a slow process and no homeopathic doctor would reject the use of conventional medicines and drugs.
